Stephen Thomas Yelverton
Stephen Thomas Yelverton has extensive experience in media and telecommunications law. He served as a trial attorney in administrative hearings for the Federal Communications Commission and has practiced before the FCC and other Federal agencies since 1987. Mr. Yelverton’s practice areas include representation of broadcast stations and wireless carriers in FCC regulatory matters and Federal appellate courts, and in business transactional, intellectual property, and libel matters.
Mr. Yelverton’s practice also focuses on representing clients in international commodity and petroleum transactions. He advises and assists clients on “green” energy policies and legislation before the Department of Energy and the U.S. Congress, primarily affecting biomass conversion and clean coal technologies.
Mr. Yelverton is AV rated as an attorney, is a member of the D.C. Bar, and admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Mr. Yelverton holds Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has done post-graduate studies at Exeter College, Oxford University. He holds certificates in negotiations and mediation from Harvard Law School.
Mr. Yelverton was previously a principal and member of the Board of Directors of the Alexandria Times newspaper in Alexandria, Virginia. He has served as Associate Editor of the Free Speech Yearbook.
ALEXANDRA-NICOLE SÉNYI DE NAGY-UNYOM
Serves as the Director of International Relations and Foreign Law Advisor. She attended the Sorbonne, holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Law from the Charles University in Prague, a Maitrise in International Law from the University of Paris II- Panthéon-Assas, and a Masters of Arts from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. Ms. Senyi has clerked for the Solicitor’s Office in the Czech Republic and served as an Austrian diplomatic representative in Japan. She is a native of Vienna and a citizen of Austria. Ms. Senyi is fluent in German, French, and English, and is conversant in Russian and Czech.
WADE H. ATKINSON, JR.
Wade H. Atkinson, Jr., International Business Consultant, has extensive experience in corporate, securities, commodities and derivatives, and real estate finance. He was associated with Whitman and Ransom in New York City and Reed, Smith in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Atkinson served for six years with the U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission (“CFTC”). His work included representing the CFTC before foreign governments, foreign commodities exchanges, and foreign self-regulatory organizations. He also was involved in complex derivatives litigation including CFTC v. Bankers Trust Co. and advised the CFTC in the Barrings Bank scandal in Singapore and the liquidation of Long Term Capital Management during the Russian ruble crisis. Most recently, Mr. Atkinson was associated with the Washington office of Cushman and Wakefield International.
Mr. Atkinson graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia, received his Masters of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics, and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law.
